We are looking for a dynamic, friendly person who enjoys
a fast paced work environment, is interested in the library industry, and a recent College graduate. The ideal candidate
will have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills,
as well as effective telephone and writing skills. Basic understanding of html and social networking is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Research and evaluate
marketing programs of perspective libraries and independent booksellers. -- Provide support
to sales representatives and field question and responses to customer inquiry. -- Maintain blogs and marketing newsletters --
Oversee the distribution of articles to blogs and Content
Management Systems
We are looking for an individual that loves technology
not for its own sake but for how it can help others accomplish
their own goals. Qualified candidates will participate in the conversion of the BookLetters platform to Web 2.0 and RIA. In addition to development projects, applicant will support internal staff and library customers and some systems administration duties. Knowledge in SQL, php and JavaScript are required. Knowledge in Groovy or Python are desirable. The ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical parties is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Convert existing web applications to new language
-- Assist existing customers in implementing converted applications once completed -- Participate in testing and feasibility evaluations of other new projects
--Assist new customers in establishing data interfaces during program start-up-- Maintain operating system configurations, user access and system security for all production and test systems -- Oversee the transfer of data between multiple content sources, our servers and our library customers -- Support non-technical staff with LAN |
